Taking care of a Shih Tzu or any pet is a time-consuming job especially if you buy a puppy. Once your pet is properly trained, your burden lessens a bit. But the burden won’t remain to be stressful once you know how to instruct your Shih Tzu properly.

Washing and combing: There might be days when your Shih Tzu will get more dirty and you’ll want to give it a bath every day. But the professionals suggest, that giving your dog a bath daily might cause harm to its skin. Instead, just wash it twice per week. Don’t forget to have some personal bath essentials only meant for your Shih Tzu. Towel dry your Shih Tzu afterward and brush it to remove any tangles in its hair.

Training: At first, things might seem a bit out of control and difficult, but once your Shih Tzu gets used to your hands and you cleaning it also touching it, it won’t withstand you. Your Shih Tzu’s teeth must be brushed, nails must be trimmed, hair trimming should also be done. Once you keep your Shih Tzu all nice and clean, it will start learning by itself.

Outcomes: The more stressful you make it, the harder it will get for you. Your Shih Tzu will adopt all the things you want if you practice them in the initial days.

Don’t go so hard on it, and you’ll enjoy the presence of this adorable little creature, and in fact, you’ll love taking care of it. Pets are meant to be bringing pleasures for you and not overstretch you. Take it that way, and you and your Shih Tzu will be happier than ever.
